◦ AMERICAN GINSENG TINCTURE ◦
Ginseng is both cooling and activating to the system. It nourishes and moistens the respiratory tract, and is invigorating and restorative to an exhausted brain or nervous system. Ginseng is not something I recommend taking continually because I find that as one relies on it they need to increase dosage which creates a vicious cycle of reliance and fatigue. I do find it helpful, however, for a short term energy boost and for its adaptogenic properties.
◦ LEMON BALM TINCTURE ◦
A fantastic calming herb, lemon balm is useful in anxiety and stress as well as for headache and stomach aches. Lemon balm also has antiviral properties.
◦ LEMON VERBENA TINCTURE ◦
Traditionally used for treating anxiety, depression, exhaustion and insomnia, lemon verbena is a sunny smelling tropical plant that can be grown in pots in temperate zones. My teacher used it in Germany in the winter specifically for depression but it is also used to fortify the nervous system and lessen the effects of feverish head colds.
◦ WILD ROSE HIP SYRUP ◦
These rose hips come from the Sangre de Cristo mountains behind Santa Fe, New Mexico. Rose hips contain more vitamin C than oranges and are therefore a potent immune booster which can help fight off colds and the flu. During World War II the British government encouraged its citizens to make rose hip syrup for the nutritional value and potent antioxidant action.
Other Ingredients: spring water, agave and brandy.
* we ONLY use brandy and we do it because we love you and the plants. Grain alcohol isn't good enough for either.
